Maple & Tiramisu’s Session
There are moments in life that deserve to be cherished forever, and this photo session at Larocque Park in Alfred was one of them.
On a beautiful Sunday morning, with snow shining under the soft light, I had the privilege of photographing a beautiful bond between an owner, Camille, her dog Maple, and her cat Tiramisu.
Mylène, Camille’s sister, contacted me to surprise her with a gift certificate for a photo session. Soon after, I reached out to Camille to plan the session. I was excited to hear it would include both a dog and a cat, as I love photographing cats outdoors but rarely get this opportunity.
A Perfect Winter Morning
The day couldn’t have been more perfect. The snow created a magical canvas, reflecting the soft light in Larocque Park in a gentle glow. The air was crisp, but not biting, and the trails were lined with breathtaking scenery. It was the ideal setting to create timeless memories.
As we wandered through the beginning of the park’s trails, we encountered a variety of sceneries, each more stunning than the last.
From snow-dusted trees to lined tree trails where the sunlight danced across the branches, every corner of the park offered a unique opportunity to capture the essence of this special moment.
A Unique Duo: Dog and Cat
Photographing both a dog and a cat together is always an adventure! Maple, the dog, was full of life, bounding through the snow with infectious energy (and her beloved frisbee), while Tiramisu, the cat, brought a calm and regal presence to the session. Their contrasting personalities complemented each other beautifully, and it was a joy to capture their individual spirits as well as their shared connection with their owner.
We started with Tiramisu, whose serene demeanor added an elegant touch to the session. The cat’s portraits highlighted their curious gaze and graceful posture, a perfect contrast to the dog’s lively energy. We then took a few portraits of Maple, focusing on their playful nature and expressive eyes. Action shots showcased her enthusiasm for life and her frisbee, always, as Maple sprinted through the snow to catch it.
Capturing the Bond
The heart of this session, however, was the bond shared between Camille and her beloved pets. We created portraits that showcased their love that brought smiles to everyone involved. These images told a story of unconditional love and the unbreakable ties that make our pets so much more than just animals—they are family.

Time with our pets is precious, and capturing these memories allows us to hold onto them forever. Whether it’s their quirky personality, their playful antics, or the quiet moments of companionship, each photo preserves a piece of their story and our journey with them. This session was a testament to the joy and comfort our pets bring to our lives.
